Regenerative agriculture and resilient food systems.

Our Approaches

We focus on training communities most impacted by climate change where the adoption of regenerative agriculture and resilient food systems enable them to adapt to their evolving local context.

We apply the following approaches:

  1. Organic farming – These practices rely on natural processes and inputs to maintain soil fertility and control pests and diseases. It avoids the use of synthetic fertilizers & pesticides
  2. Agroforestry - It combines crop production with the cultivation of trees providing farmers with additional income while promoting soil health and water conservation.
  3. Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) - it is a low-cost land restoration technique used to combat poverty and hunger amongst poor farmers by increasing food and trees production through regrowth on farm and grazing lands to restore natural environment.
  4. Agroecology - this practice aims to create resilient food systems that enhance soil fertility, promote biodiversity, and reduce resource use. It emphasizes the interaction between soil, plants, animals, humans, and the environment and balances traditional knowledge with modern scientific research.

We work in partnership with county and national governments, donors, other stakeholders and local communities to complement food production for a better and healthy living for local households.
